Alias Configuration
Aliases allow you to create multiple email addresses that forward to one or more mailboxes.
Creating an Alias
- Navigate to your domain's settings page
- Click Add Alias
- Enter the alias address (e.g.,
support@yourdomain.com) - Select one or more target mailboxes to forward to
- Optionally set a priority for conflict resolution
Wildcard Aliases
Use wildcards to match multiple email addresses with a single alias:
-
star
sales-*@yourdomain.com→ matchessales-us@yourdomain.com,sales-eu@yourdomain.com, etc. -
star
*@yourdomain.com→ matches all addresses (catchall)
Priority Ordering
When multiple aliases match an email address, priority determines which one is used:
- Priority 1 (highest) is checked first
- Lower priority values take precedence over higher values
- Exact matches always take precedence over wildcards
Domain Aliases
Create domain aliases to use multiple domains for the same set of mailboxes:
- Add a new domain in domain type selection
- Choose "Domain Alias" and select the primary domain
- Complete DNS verification
- All mailboxes and aliases from the primary domain will be available on the alias domain
Catchall Configuration
Enable catchall to route all unmatched emails to specific mailboxes:
- Navigate to domain settings
- Enable Catchall
- Select target mailboxes for catchall emails
warning Catchall can lead to spam issues. Consider using denylists to block unwanted senders.
