Gmail Configuration
Configure Gmail to send emails from your custom domain using Gmail's "Send mail as" feature.
info Prerequisites: Before configuring Gmail, ensure your domain is verified and you've created and linked a mailbox via OAuth2. You should have received an SMTP password via email.
Setting Up "Send Mail As"
Gmail's "Send mail as" feature allows you to send emails from your custom domain address while using Gmail's interface.
Step 1: Access Gmail Settings
- Open Gmail in your web browser
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner
- Select See all settings
- Navigate to the Accounts and Import tab
Step 2: Add Your Custom Email Address
- Find the section Send mail as
- Click Add another email address
- Enter your name and custom domain email address (e.g.,
sales@yourdomain.com) - Important: Check the box "Treat as an alias"
- Click Next Step
Step 3: Configure SMTP Settings
Enter the following SMTP server information:
SMTP Server: smtp.gomailify.com
Port: 465
Username: Your full custom domain email address
Password: The SMTP password sent to your Gmail inbox
Connection: SSL (secured connection)
Step 4: Verify Your Email Address
- Click Add Account
- Gmail will send a verification code to your custom domain email
- Check your Gmail inbox for the verification email (it will arrive via Gomailify)
- Enter the verification code in the popup window
- Click Verify
Additional Settings
Set Default Send Address
To always send emails from your custom domain by default:
- In Gmail Settings → Accounts and Import
- Under Send mail as, click make default next to your custom domain address
Reply Settings
Configure how Gmail handles replies:
- In Gmail Settings → Accounts and Import
- Scroll to When replying to a message
- Select "Reply from the same address the message was sent to"
Email Signature
Set up a custom signature for your domain:
- In Gmail Settings → General tab
- Scroll to Signature
- Select your custom domain address from the dropdown
- Create your signature
Receiving Emails
Incoming emails to your custom domain are automatically delivered to your Gmail inbox via Gomailify's OAuth2 integration. No additional configuration is needed.

Mobile App Configuration
Once configured in Gmail web, your custom domain address will automatically be available in the Gmail mobile app:

- check_circle Incoming emails will appear in your inbox with your custom domain as the recipient
warning Important: Always check the "Treat as an alias" box when adding your custom domain to Gmail. This ensures proper email threading and reply handling.
